Travelling can be intimidating for many people. Some are hindered by the limitations set by their jobs, budget, and the like. However, anyone is free to travel no matter the circumstance. Below are five blogs that prove any person of any background can travel to the places they dream of.
1. Young OFW

The Young OFW is a blog created by a couple who currently works in two separate hotels in Macau. Carlo and Lorna Madrid erases the stereotype that one has to be a rich businessman in order to see the different sights of the world. They share the places where they have gone and their own experiences there.
Reading their posts is interesting because they keep it personal and connect it to what it is like traveling as OFWs who have jobs they still have to commit to. Not many blogs discuss what it is like pursuing their dreams while acknowledging the reality of where they come. The concept is unique but also relevant to many people.

Although many people travel in groups, this Filipina goes beyond expectations by going country to country alone. The writer of The Solitary Wanderer Aleah Taboclaon focuses her posts by encouraging women specifically to go travel by themselves and explore the wonders of the world. Her blog even gives tips that can be useful for first time travellers and helpful for those going solo. I personally enjoy what she writes as it is not common to travel alone, much more a woman to do. Well-written, the blog serves as an inspiration to many other Filipinas.

Similar to The Solitary Wanderer, The Pinay Travel Junkie aims to empower women to travel and to show them that they should not be afraid to do so. The blogger Gay Mitra-Emami has gone to places inside and outside the Philippines, showcasing its not impossible for women to be able to travel. She even continues her passion while raising her daughter and starting a family.
As woman, Mitra-Emami proves that females are more than just housewives. Her posts showcase how women can travel if they want to and how they can do it for themselves.

Even on a budget, travelling can be fun and exciting as substantiated by bloggers of the Poor Traveler. Since founders Yoshke Dimen and Vins Carlos used to work full time day jobs, they understand what it is like to go to places and be conscious of the price. They share their personal travel itineraries to serve as a guide on where to go and how much it can cost. Although what they post is useful, many information can be found already in other sites.

Through his blog posts, The Pinoy Traveler is able to present that traveling for the first time should not be viewed as intimidating and scary. Author Dennis Esplana prepares travel guides within places inside the Philippines so that his readers will know what to expect even without having to go that specific location in real life. Options on where to stay, how to get there, and the like are all provided for more information on interested travellers. Like the Poor Traveller, the posts are useful, albeit common.
